Recently I've spoken with three people trained with Xtreme that they got a letter saying they had to purchase X amount of product each month or quarter ? (and only their product) to stay on the website listing. Seems sort of controlling and "cutting off the nose to spite the face" kind of business practice. All of these people have decided to look elsewhere...I told them to check out this website to find out about all the other great products out there. FYI: it's almost impossible to get certified for the website unless you're a master photographer since they have a guy (whom I adore, by the way)who just does this checking thing: he blows up the photos you send in and counts EVERY lash, makes sure they're straight, and if your pics a blurry, they can't be considered. The website was nice in the beginning but I get more clients by word of mouth by people seeing my work. So if you're not on the site you can buy whatever you want and they don't care but if you work that hard to get up there...you get penalized? Doesn't make sense. Sorry for the rant but I had to let it out...I'm over it, whew! I feel better. :-)

I'm sure that by tomorrow I'll be removed from the website after this...if fact, by God, I think I'll request to be removed...I'll let you all know what happens to me. :-)

You know I just thought of the effect that this could have on Xtreme. If they dont have a good # of people staying on the web listing then they are not going to look #1 to clients looking for people to get lashed and also future lashers looking to get trained. I have a few clients that live in 2 states and have used Xtremes web site to find people else where. If no one is listed in there area they are looking, then they will go to Nova or Lavish etc. They used to be listed first when googled now it's second. ?
I think the biggest reason people are so upset is they(xtreme) charge the same as Jill at lash FX and you get maybe 1/4 of the lashes. It does't seem right. We know they NOW read this site so maybe they will change. Butfor Xtreme this was a good move.I bet sales where up quite a bit.

I don't really see how it would be a good move but I know they charge way too much for their products and have a bit of an ego problem...but they have a glossy finish and that's what they're selling because they don't have any better ideas than what I've heard on here. You guys rock with some of the great ideas you come up with. Especially the Xtreme Primer at $89/bottle when I've tried the baby poo mix and LOVE it! I've learned more on this site than in the entire 2 years doing lashes......except from Eva at Xtreme, she is the Lash Goddess! :-)
