Hi all...I have been browsing around this forum for about two months and I have learned so, so , so much. Thank you all for sharing information. I have passed on the good info to a friend in the lash busisness. I wanted to share something with you all. I had a photo shoot last Saturday and before the shoot I had the girl who does my lashes put some Xtreme Ultra thick c-curl lashes on me, and I think she used 13 & 14mm, so they were long, however mu owm lashes were sparse, so even though my lashes were long, they were not full. This was my decision, by the way, as I pretty much knew that the makeup artist was going to want to put strip lashes on my eyes even though I had extensions on. The makeup artist DID infact want to put the strip lashes on and she used a lot of glue. She placed the lashes exactly where they were supposed to go, and they looked perfect. My make-up was flawless and the pictures turned out phenominal. When I got home and went to remove the strip lashes, I pulled out at least 5 or more of my own lashes with extensions on them. It hurt, and it sucked that I lost so many. At the end of the day the pictures I got out of it are worth it, but I will NOT be recommending to my clients to use strip lashes, EVER, and if they do I will tell them my story. Once I get the pictures back I may post one of what my eyes looked like with the strip lashes and extensions so you all can see. Thanks for all the info you all post here. Jenny

Sorry to here about what happend but, glad your pics came out great. To get a full look/long look on sparce lashes try shoter thick lashes.20/25(9-10-11-12) with thin .15(13-14)peeks in the area of the brow arch.

When I did a photoshoot, I used one of my lash extension clients and instead of using a strip lash I used the flares (knot-free). I just layed them in one at a time. And afterwards they were so easy to remove. That is what i would recommend to enhance the extensions instead of the striplash. ----------

i did a bride today and she wears strips, I told her no way was she suppose to use the strip with her extensions and told her i could guarentee that would damage her lashes.

I just removed what I had left, and at the end of may I will have them re-done. I Never thought about the flairs. This was a VERY expensive photo shoot that was given to me, so I didn't have the time to be super picky about stuff, so I just did it.

Actually in that 2-Day workshop I took from 3D, they showed us how to work with strips/flare and extension. I now offer to add flares for special occassions and such. ----------

Lashsavy, How exactly are they using the flares? In between the extensions like the way Jill used to teach it?? Or laid right on top of the extensions to fill a gap? ----------

I don't know about them, but I stack them on an extension, not in between. jp ----------

Thanks Jill, I thought about it after I posted and then remembered how you taught us to drop them in. Thanks for clarifying. ----------
