dark lips

I have never done lips like this before but this Indian lady wants just a hint of orange to brighte them up, mostly in the middle of lips, i know it is light colour and it is not going to show. I am using Li Pigments, what can you suggest for them please, i suspect they will fade a lot or completely as i did lips similar but lighter, what i definately want is not to spoil them by bringing anything darker than it is, bluish, black hue,no,no! Ms. M 356 posts Aug 06, 2010 12:22 AM	She's not a good candidate. Refer her to an all day lip product like Cover Girl Outlast. I get them on sale in a natural color (actually the one I buy is called "Natural" and give it to them so they are not dissapointed, to help solve a pesky problem for them, and to send her off with some good will. She's likely a very good candidate for brows and eyeliner so she'll remember me. If these lips were tattooed, the top lip would hyperpigment.

sherrau 19 posts Aug 08, 2010 10:45 PM	I'm with Ms. M on this one except if the lips are formed as nicely as this client's are, I would recommend Revlon Overtime. It is my favorite over Cover Girl but does the same thing--long lasting color with few applications during the day. If the client needs lip defining, the permanent makeup device and pigments can help with that. There are lots of us old ladies out there who need some help defining a bigger, fuller lip base!
