OKTat, what a nice way of putting it. Yes we should all be there supporting Jane in her presentation, she has spent endless hours on this board helping all of us, it's the least we can do.

Kat,
The BBP class is not included in the registration. It's $75 for attendees and their employees and $125 for all others.

Its not an impossibility, but its looking bleaker and bleaker for me to be there. (Turns out my husband found out he's a daddy after almost 12 years and he's uber excited, which is great, however now he's using all the air miles etc. to visit her every other month...) Between the start up of my very own PMU shop with all the expenses, paying for the courses, airfare and hotel is in a month is just not looking realistic...:-(
Anyway the reason I bring this up is because I'm wondering if there is any way of knowing where the Conference is going to be. If I can't make it in March, I'll need to get my CEs and redo my BBP before November when my two years will be up. Orlando was one of the best moves I made for my profession. (hint! hint! hehe) But regardless of where it ends up, it looks like I'm on my own to save up for it and I think I'll need more time to plan.
I know you guys will have a total blast...:-( ---------- ~Kat, CPCP~ SPCP Member & Certified Western KY www.CosmeticBeautySalon.com

All the more reason you should go Kat. Your husband should realize your passion for the industry and encourage you to attend. He should skip one of his months so that you can go. If you hook up with a roomie, your hotel rate will be reduced and there are some deadly deals on air fare.

FYI: Called Flamingo today to book a room. They will tell you that the group rate for booking ended 2/1. It took awhile for me to convince them otherwise, that on my end it said 2/15. You may have to get a manager on the phone and it can take awhile for them to get it right so plan on spending a bit of time on the phone (read: don't book between clients). On a related note, booking online at the flamingo website will actually get you the same room for $10 less! I booked for Sat & Sun nights, don't know about other nights.

Well that's odd. The SPCP website lists 2/15 as being the cutoff date for "first come, first served" reservations at the group rate but the booklet sent out to SPCP members lists the date as 2/1 (at least the one I received does).

I’m looking forward to so many pigment manufacturers being available ALL AT THE SAME TIME in a panel. Awesome!
I am also looking forward to our own Miss Jane speak to us. I’m not a manual tool user, but you all know how knowledgeable she is and how much she has helped all of you. I learn something every time I hear one of our knowledgeable & artistic veterans speak. I just apply her years of experience to my method and I gain so much. Lets support her by hootin and hollerin for her ~grin, luv ya baby~
Here’s the information on the Pigment Manufacturers:
SPECIAL EVENT Permanent Cosmetic Pigments - What We Think You Should Know
Never before has such a presentation taken place in this industry. Debra Guastella, CPCP will host this two-hour intense study by first presenting a PowerPoint prepared by the esteemed panel of pigment manufacturers, which includes:
Elizabeth Finch-Howell, CPCP (Derma International) Mary Jane Haake, CPCP (Dermal Source) Alexis Lawson (SofTap) Pat Shibley-Gauthier, CPCP (Micro-Pigmentation Centre) Darlene Story (Lasting Impression’s)
The presentation will then open up to lively discussion and an open question and answer forum.
I CANT WAIT.

Bummer I'm missing the pigment course. Due to personal circumstances, I won't be able to make it out in March.
My husband and I want you to put in a good word to host the Conference back in Orlando tho. (Remember when you swam with the dolphins?? :-) That was one of the best trips of our lives, and the instruction was awesome, and its super easy to fly there on almost every discount airline... ---------- ~Kat, CPCP~ SPCP Member & Certified Western KY www.CosmeticBeautySalon.com

OMG yes, swimming with the dolphins was such a highlight to a fabulous Conference. I too had a great time that Conference Kat! I always sneak in a little side fun where ever the SPCP takes us on our learning. Okay, maybe more than just a little. My favorite ride of all time is in Vegas. It’s called “SPEED THE RIDE” – awesome! For those of you going, you really should check it out. It goes 6 - G’s forward and 2 -G’s backwards…… short, but really fun, my favorite! ---------- Rose Ann Cloud, CPCP Permanent Cosmetics By Rozan www.RozanCloud.com

I would puke my guts out! No backwards rides for this gal. We had one of those station wagons when I was a kid, the ones that had the fold down bench seat in the back that faced backwards? That's all I have to say about that!

I tried the "Needle" on top of the Strataspher. They have you in an open seat with just a bar coming down over you. Then boom, shootchya straight up and you feel like your going to end up on the other side of town. I didnt like having my stomach in my throat. It took me a few hours to shake it off. You know how they have the photo booths where you can see the looks on your faces?, well, it looked like I was praying.LOL

I was ready to come up until a month before and with bills piling up and hubby having other plans and kids to plan for, etc! I bailed at the last minute. Probably regretting not going.
