I have client, who came to me 2 years ago with gray eyebrows (picture 1) I did color and shape correction on her, using Face Inks pigments(picture 2).
She is regular client at my Spa. Few months ago I noticed her eyebrows started to look very gray again. I'm gone touch them up next week. What color do you think from LI pigments should I use to correct the gray? I started to use Li pigments 2 months ago, so I'm still learning. How do you determine which anti gray to use and when, UN-grey verse Yellow Olive Modifier or Autumn Gold( if eyebrows are too grey doesn't have enough opacity, if I remember)
My client Is Fitz I with red/pink undertones and white hair. She had thyroid removed six months ago and is on medication. Do you find that thyroid meds can make eyebrow colors to ash on clients? I value your advice, thanks.

Nice brow shape Angie. I can hear your accent as I'm reading your post!

What was the color of the pigment you used by Face Inks?
I have not had luck with an Ochre corrector but it might be me.
Liza has told me to use YOM for blondes, and CM for brunettes. Now that UnGray is available I tried it on my own. They are not completely healed but I will let you know. It looks better at 8 days than YOM did for me, and
I dont think it will be too dark.
I think a blonde can go a bit darker than her hair even though as a blonde we are sometimes afraid to. As with brunettes I like brow a bit lighter than their hair color.Just a bit, both ways.
JMO.

Agnieztka; I have been using Liza LI pigments for 3 years and YOM have been doing the trick for me, as Lizzy said CM for skins IV-VI. Some times I mix at the last pass some of the desired brow color, depending on the saturation of the gray. Also Elyzabeth Finch ( Derma International ) have a anti-gray that works perfectly too.

Regarding Thyroids medication, yes, they can affect the outcome (ashy tones or faster fading) over the time, so advice your client that. I had some clients with same problems and now I am using on them either a warmer tone or add some anti-gray (1-2 drops)as a preventive meassure with good results.

By the way, the correction you did in the head of this lady Eyebrows look great! What did you used?.

I hope this could help you.

Sorry for the typos-

Yolanda.

Hello Ladies!
Thanks for your advice, I will try YOM to correct the grey. Now when do you choose Un-grey over YOM and vice verse ?
The Face inks pigments I used were: Chocolate Mousse and Butternut.

Agnieztka: Regarding the use of YOM VS. Un-Gray, I think better lets hear the explanation by Liza, she is the specialist and will clarify all of us about their specific use.

The Un-gray is a new pigment and personally, I am using it to "warm up" a pigment if I think I need it depending of the client's skin tone.

I am in Fl, so many skin types IV-VI. But really Liza will explain better if we can use it directly to correct Gray brows (I use for them YOM so far).

Please , would you tell me what did you do to correct some of this client brows. I have done it too but it looks so great!

This is Liza E-mail, she will help you with anything.

Good Luck,

Yolanda.

I was under the impression that it was for use of correcting gray/blue brows. Liza sent it to me and Brandy after we were having dificulty with a few stubborn brows.
I assumed we could use it in a mix since seems all but Neon Orange Mod can.
This is from the new CIC chart that I recieved this week from Wendy.

The new CIC chart describes Un-Gray as;Warm
Yellow/Orange Inorganic
Use to neutralize stubborn grey brows. If grey is faint and faded, use
alone. If grey is bolder, Caribbean Mod may need to be added to
healed result.

Hope this helps

if a brow is light grey and your target is blonde: use YOM

if a brow is med. grey and your target is dark blonde - light brown: use UnGrey and go over with your target color.

if a brow is dark grey or blue and your target is med brown - dark brown, use Caribbean Mod and go over with your target color.

thank you Lizzy for helping out here, I have been busy and absent a lot lately, plus i just got over pneumonia.

YoYo, i will be working on my backlog of invoices this weekend and will email all your invoices from the show as well as the newe CIC's. Thank you!

FYI; Elizabeth F-H of Derma Int'l helped us to formulate UnGrey. Hows that for friendship and industry devotion????
I am SO grateful to be surrounded by the best of the best.
Muah!

perfect size!
Her brows look about the same as mine at this point.I used Un Gray so mine are a bit warmer. I am 2 weeks healed. I plan on going over mine again but I was conservative the first go around. In the past my own brows just turned a darker gray after awhile.(dont remember how long that took). I'm waiting to see what happens to me.

In fact I was talking to Hollis about this and she asked if I worked under lights, and I do.I use daylight bulbs.
I have been extra careful to sunscreen on those puppies. I had an idea of finding a "clear" sunscreen to use on them. What I use on my face has too much white in it and affects the color.

It depends on what she wants as a final color. If she wants a bit warmer, likely another session will be required. Have to wait for the final healed version.

Usually when I am working with gray or blue/gray or any combination thereof, it takes at least 2 sessions, but sometimes I get real lucky and do it in one. Each person is going to be different based on their skin undertone and the desired target color. Some people like a cool brown and take less sessions to get from gray to brown. The saturaltin level of the gray also plays a big part in how many sessions with a corrector color. One hint I'll pass along. When correcting gray to brow, not only do I use the un-gray but also put a little bit of it in the brown I put oer the un-gray (if I decide to put a brown over the un-gray at the same color correction session.) Seems to help a lot.
