I have just completed my training in this field a few weeks ago. I spend alot of my time reading from this chat room to find all the right answers. I was trained on EZ pigments and would like to dabble in other pigments. Is there a website for supplies and pigments that is reputable with delivery time and pricing? Also, I work out of a salon doing Aesthetics and currently give 30%. The salon owner expects 30% of the permanent makeup profit. I feel 20% is a fair price plus a referral fee of $50 per client. Am I being fair here? I paid for my training, all of my advertising, supplies, basically everything including my sign for the front window. This was training above and beyond the aesthetics that I committed to do out of this room. Not affraid of a move. Appreciating all good advise. Sharon

Thank you for your feedback! I am going to place an order through Kolorsource today for pigments and will check into the Freedom Machine in the future (after some glitches are fixed). Thanks for your opinion on the salon. I wanted to make sure I wasn't the one being greety. Good advise.

I've tried numerous pigments in the past, and was frustrated by the color retention. Another technician recommended Lasting Impression (Aqua Line-http://www.cosmetictattoo.com/) and is by far the best pigments that I've used. I was so thrilled when some of my clients don't need touch-ups. This pigment has saved me time and headaches. I'm a loyal user and would recommend it. My favorite colors are Hazelnut, Taupe, and Autumn Gold. You can contact Liza Sims for ordering information. As for supplies, I like to order my stuff at KP Permanent Makeup (http://www.kpmakeup.com/). They have affordable machines and needles there. I also work at a salon and the owner takes 20% commission. It's fair because I have to spend so much on insurance and supplies. All they have to do is provide a room and help find clients (which most of my clients are from previous client's referral). Hope this helps you out. Traci

I totally agree with the 20% commission for the salon owner. I do permanent makeup but also own a salon/spa. I have a woman come in to do laser hair removal and a Dr. to do Botox. All of it is on an 80-20 commission basis and visa-versa if I go do pmu at their facility. So, you are in the right.---------- (215) 249-9127 www.alwayspretty.com

I only buy my pigments from suppliers who label properly and who sell machines that do not contaminate. Check these out for quality pigments and machines/devices - www.spcp.org/suppliers.htm
